Then we got ready and went with Pudgee and Choozie downtown DC to see the Cherry Blossoms. Mommy tells me that this is a very special time of year. It is right when Mommy and Daddy moved to the area. One of the first fun events they did in the city was head downtown to look at the Cherry Blossoms. Once they got engaged, they decided that having the wedding at the same time that the Cherry Blossoms were blooming would be a great way for their guests to experiance a trip to the area (since most of them were coming from out of town). Mommy also themed the wedding all around the Cherry Blossoms. Needless to say...it has been a tradition to go downtown to see them (last year we made it halfway and turned around becasuse the traffic was a nightmare...we noted that we would need to take the metro from that point on).
We also took a walk on the Mall - some things never change...look at how close Pudgee watches me!

Poor Pudgy always gets thrown under the bus!! Tommy is old enuf to keep up with the big dogs, monkeys, elephants, zebras, giraffes, gorillas etc. Next year, Tommy is going to have to watch poor little Pudgy.
